Youcef BOUZID
CHAIRMAN

Graduated from Algiers University with a bachelor’s degree in business management and pursued an MBA degree in Project Management from DeVry University of New York. He has worked many years in the eld of business development and project management, and currently, he is a technical project manager at Securitas, a security and engineering company, managing a part of an MTA project. Lead many non-profit organizations inside and outside of the country, and currently acting as a board member of INAS, and a board member of a local Algerian association in NJ ASNA. Married and a father of two little kids, a boy, and a girl. He enjoys social work, Photo design, Arabic poetry, and Arabic Calligraphy.

OMAR LAGHROUCHE
VICE CHAIRMAN

Professor in Structural Dynamics & Vibration and Director of the Institute for Infrastructure and Environment at Heriot-Watt University, Scotland.
He grew up in a popular district in Algiers, and studied Mechanical Engineering in Ecole Nationale Polytechnique. He obtained a PhD from Ecole Centrale de Nantes, in France. Then moved to Durham University, in England, to work as a Senior Research Fellow on novel numerical methods for wave problems at high frequencies. In 2004, he joined Heriot-Watt University as an academic within the Civil Engineering discipline.
He is an executive member of the UK Association for Computational Mechanics, a member of the General Council of the International Association for Computational Mechanics, Subject Editor of the scientific journal Applied Mathematical Modeling, Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (FICE), and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

MOHAMED ESSEGHIR
STRATEGIC PLANNING & PM COMMITTEE MANAGER

Principal Research Scientist with The Dow Chemical Company and has more than 30 years of experience in polymeric materials. He is currently responsible for new material research for the Telecommunications segment in Dow’s Wire & Cable R&D. His responsibilities include opportunity identification, solution development, multi-project technical leadership and IP capture. Dr. Esseghir has served on the board of the Polymer Processing Institute (PPI) and is currently on the Committee of the International Cable & Connectivity Symposium (IWCS). He holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Algerian Petroleum Institute and M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Rutgers University. Following post-doctoral work at PPI, Dr. Esseghir began his career with Union Carbides’ Polyole n Research before joining the Dow Chemical Company. He holds 26 granted patents and has authored over 28 publications and technical presentations.

LIAISON COMMITTEE MANAGER

Professor at the Engineering Technology department of QCC, City University of New York, he was a professor at DeVry University for 17 years as well as the head of Mathematics department and faculty chair of Liberal Arts and Sciences school. Ali has a MSEE in VSLI Design from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He published and reviewed papers and a book. He is an Ed. D candidate in Educational Technology Leadership at NJCU. He has four beautiful daughters and enjoys traveling.

Graduated from Polytechnic University in Brooklyn New York with a Master's and PhD degrees in Structural Engineering, currently working in the department of Mechanical Engineering Technology at City Tech (CUNY) as an Associate Professor. Teaching and research interests include design, reliability, simulation, seismic design, additive manufacturing, and material testing.

INAS TREASURER

A graduate of Michigan Technological University with MSEE and specialized in control systems / automation and robotics. Worked at IBM for 30 years in fields ranging from VLSI design to enterprise storage systems.

Currently he is an advisor at DellEMC in the field of technical support of storage systems. Held several administrators, shura and executive positions at several Islamic associations. Married with three beautiful girls and four awesome grandchildren. Enjoys sports and the great outdoors.

MOHAMED OUZAR

Mohamed Ouzar, 57, a state engineer in computer science (Bab Azzouar University, 1988), worked for six years at the Center for the Development of Modern Technologies (CDTA) and at the company for the Development of Automated Media Systems and Software Production (ITComp) for seven years, founded a training and consulting company for management, economic institutions, and associations, and has prepared dozens of training programs and courses at several institutions (private and public). At the present time, I am the managing director at the ASALA, a publishing and media company, while I am also a trainer and a consultant for a private school group. My career has allowed me to gain experience in the field of training, enterprise management strategy, and a wide knowledge of the economic information system in Algeria, establishing a network of a large number of professors and researchers at the Universities of Algeria... I was one of the founders of the Academia initiative and INAS as well. I am also managing the website of Malek Benabi Academy.

MOURAD ZIROUR

Senior Lecturer / Head of Section at Universiti Kuala Lumpur. Holder of Diplôme d’ingénieur in Operational Research from Université des Sciences et Technologies HOUARI BOUMEDIENE (USTHB) in 2001. Followed by MSc (in 2007) and PhD (in 2017) in Mathematics from the National University of Malaysia (UKM). Since 2007, working at Universiti Kuala Lumpur until now. Gained a lot of experience throughout the years, from Lecturer to Program coordinator and end up by Head of section. Recipient of Fundamental Research Grant from Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, in 2019, for 3-year project.

Recipient of Chevalier of Academic Palms from Ministry of Education of France in 2020. Member of INAS since February 2020, in the education group, and willing to share my experience with my co-citizens to help improving the education on the management and the academic matters.

EDUCATION PROJECT MANAGER

Associate Professor at King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He received his BSc degree from University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB), Algiers, Algeria, in 1986; his MSc degree in Physics (Physics of Surfaces) from University Laval, Quebec, Canada in 1991 and his PhD degree in Photo-biophysics from University of Quebec at Trois-Rivieres , Quebec, Canada in 1996. Postdoc as Alexander Von Humboldt Fellow in Wuerzburg, Germany, 1996-1998; Postdoc at INRS-Energie, Montreal 1998-1999; Assistant and then Associate Professor at King Saud University till today. His research expertise and interests include fabrication, steady state and real time characterization of nanostructured-based Dye sensitized/and Quantum Dots solar cells and dynamic studies of electron interfacial transfer of nanostructured heterogeneous systems. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of Sahara Solar Breeder (Algeria-Japan).

Khalid Bouzertit was born in Algiers, Algeria - Kasbah. He is married and a father of four children. ABDELKRIM KAMELI

Abdelkrim Kameli (60 years) is a professor of biochemistry at an Algerian higher education institute, the Ecole Normale Superieure in Algiers. The main goal of this institute is to teach students to be secondary school teachers in science, physics, and maths as well as research in different elds of science. My last degree is a Ph.D. in Plant Biochemistry and Physiology from the University of Sheffield in the UK in 1990. I was the chairman of the university scientific council for 20 years from 1999 to 2019. I am the director of a research laboratory on medicinal plants and natural substances since 2014. An author of 2 textbooks for second-year university students and 2 textbooks for biology in high schools in Algeria and an author of around 40 research papers in scientific journals. Head of Department of Biology between 1992 and 1995. The candidacy for a Board of Directors Position in INAS for me is an opportunity to interact with fellow Algerian scientists around the world and in Algeria with the objective of helping our country in different areas especially in research and education. I hope to be able to do something to achieve the goals set by INAS being myself in the eld of higher education and research for more than 30 years.

Latifa Mahdaoui

Research professor at Houari Boumediene University of Science and Technology. After obtaining her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the same university in 1990, she earned her Master's degree in 1996, followed by a Doctorate in Computer Science specializing in Advanced Information Systems and Databases in 2008. In the same year, she also obtained an international master's degree in distance education from the Swiss university Kurt Bosch, and later achieved the professorship degree in 2018.

Omar Farhi

born on March 12, 1977, is a town planning engineer and topographic surveyor based in Paris, France.

Holder of a specialized Master's degree in Building Information Modeling (BIM) since 2002, he also obtained his State Engineer degree in town planning at USTHB in Algeria.

Currently, he is a Geomatics Engineer (Survey Project Engineer) for Track and BIM Coordinator at UNIFER France Grand Travaux Ferroviaires. Since October 2019, Omar excels in technical studies for the design of railway tracks and BIM coordination.

ISMAIL TABET AOUL

Dr. Ismail Bachir Tabet Aoul is a distinguished physician specializing in Hepato-Gastro-Enterology, with an impressive academic and professional journey.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2008 from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Rabat, Morocco, focusing on the "Treatment of hydatid cyst: results of a national survey." His academic excellence was evident earlier, receiving honors in Mathematics for his Baccalaureate diploma in 1999.
With a rich professional background, Dr. Tabet Aoul has held positions at esteemed institutions, including Lemans Hospitals in Thonon-les-Bains, France (since Sept 2023), and the South Bugey Hospital Center in Belley, France (from Apr 2014).
His international experience includes roles in France at Pierre Oudot Hospital in Bourgoin Jallieu (May 2012) and the CROIX ROUSSE University Hospital in Lyon (Nov 2011).
